Aims and scope

  • As information is increasingly gaining prominence in the today globalised society, statistical methods represent a tool of constant interest and usage. There is a multitude of issues which deserve to be studied theoretically and empirically, which are useful for researchers, managers and policy makers alike.

  • To gain a more comprehensive and deeper understanding on how statistical methods can be conceptualized and understood, the Journal of Social and Economic Statistics aims to present new research on the theory and practice of statistics.

  • The goal of JSES is to bring together articles which contribute new research ideas in all areas of the statistical science, the latest theoretical and applied research in statistics.
